Prior to joining Aberdeen Asset Management, Ms. Benson joined Nationwide Insurance in 1977 as a financial analyst.
She managed the Gartmore Tax-Free Income Fund and its predecessor from its inception in March 1986, and managed the Financial Horizons Investment Trust Municipal Bond Fund from March 1997 to May 1998.
Ms. Benson holds a B.S.
in accounting from Central State University and an M.B.A.
from the University of Dayton.
