Mr. Chen has been a financial analyst for over eight years in the oil and gas industry in North America and China.
He was at the business development group of Caltex Oil ( China) Corporation for three years in Shanghai, where he played a key advisory role in corporate M&A projects, and developed his skills in market research, financial due diligence and business valuation.
He acted as a corporate financial analyst, working with Mercer Consulting on Caltex's China Strategy Study.
In the last five years, Mr. Chen has been working as an analyst in the midstream and downstream area of a major Canadian integrated oil company in Calgary.
Mr. Chen is also involved in a corporate hedging program as a risk management analyst.
Mr. Chen holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and an MBA (finance and accounting).
He is a Level III candidate in the CFA program.
