representing Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Turkey. The office of the Executive Director, based in Washington DC, represents the interests of the member countries at the Boards of Directors of the Worldbank group. The adviser will be accountable to and working closely with the Executive Director in preparing Board meetings and liaising with capital. He or she will, inter alia, prepare briefs, summaries and reports that will facilitate decision-taking processes at the level of capital.

Selection criteria:

- Master degrees in law and/or economics. Degrees in development economics and/or international humanitarian law are considered a valuable additional asset.

- A minimum of 4 years of working experience with development institutions, a thorough understanding of the international financial aid architecture and familiarity with Worldbank operations, positions and priorities will be desirable.

- Language requirements: excellent French and English, written and spoken, communication skills are essential. Spoken Luxembourgish. Knowledge of additional languages will be highly appreciated.

The position is available as of November 2014.
