Bruno Bich, 36ème fortune française avec 1 345 millions d'euros, est l'un des onze enfants du Baron Marcel Bich qui a fondé, en 1950, le groupe de stylos, de rasoirs et de briquets jetables Bic.

Pour la petite histoire, en octobre 1945, lorsque la marque débute, elle s'appelle PPA (Porte-plume, Porte-mines et Accessoires). C'est en 1953 que la société prend le nom de Bic, le raccourci du nom de famille Bich. La marque est aujourd'hui présente sur les cinq continents, dans plus de 160 pays. Elle est la troisième marque française la plus connue sur la planète, après Dior et Chanel.

Bruno Bich fait ses études au sein du chic établissement privé Sainte-Croix de Neuilly puis à l'université de New York où il obtient un diplôme en marketing et finance. Il débute sa carrière dans une banque d'affaires de Manhattan. En 1975, à vingt-huit ans, il entre dans l'entreprise familiale et prend en charge la filiale américaine Bic Corp.

Pendant onze ans, il mène d'une main de fer la filiale américaine, installée depuis 1958 (date à laquelle Marcel Bich rachète les stylos Waterman). Son travail porte ses fruits, au point d'en faire une des filiales les plus dynamiques et les plus rentables du groupe. C'est Bruno Bich qui a développé le marquage publicitaire des stylos et a construit une usine spécialisée dans cette activité en Floride.

Après plus de trente ans passés aux Etats-Unis, il revient au siège social, à Clichy, et prend la succession de son père. Ainsi, en 1993, peu de temps avant la mort de son père (en 1994), il prend la présidence du groupe. Il sera le PDG du groupe Bic pendant 13 ans avant de prendre sa retraite en avril 2006 et de confier la direction générale de l'empire du jetable à Mario Guevara. Il demeure le président non exécutif de Bic.

En 1997, Bruno Bich rachète l'américain Sheaffer et l'allemand Tipp-Ex.
