Viktor Andriyovych Yushchenko is the founder of Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc, founded in 2001.
He served as the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine.
He was the President of the Government of Ukraine from 2005 to 2010 and the Prime Minister of the Government of Ukraine from 1999 to 2001.
Yushchenko received an undergraduate degree from Ternopil National Economic University in 1975 and a doctorate from Ukrainian Academy of Banking of National Bank of Ukraine.
