Prior to this, he spent two years as an Egypt and Regional Analyst at the Cairo office of the New York-based Concord International Investments Group.
Mr. Shanin has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Edinburgh Business School, which he received in 2007.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the American University in Cairo in 2004 with honours, majoring in business administration with a specialisation in finance.
