Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Hamada worked for one year as an Associate at Ripplewood Japan, Inc., where he focused on private equity investments in Japan.
Previously, Mr. Hamada co-founded Catal Inc., a company that provides bilingual English-language tutors to institutional clients such as Sony, Japanese financial institutions, and U.S.
and European investment banks.
Prior to this, he worked for three years as an Analyst with the New York and Japan offices of Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Hamada holds a B.A.
in Political Science from Yale University.
