He worked at Joseph Blake and Arthur Andersen, where he specialised in real estate investment analysis.
He subsequently spent a number of years in proprietary energy and equity derivatives trading in US with Susquehanna Investment Group, Eon and Duke Power.
In 2002, he joined Baker Steel Capital Managers to work as a Fund Manager of the Genus Natural Resources Fund and Genus Energy Fund with sole investment responsibility for the energy sector.
In addition, he was a Portfolio Manager on several long-only products, including the Genus Dynamic Gold Fund.
He was instrumental in growing AUM from US$10m initially to over US$700m during his tenure.
In 2007, he joined Orn Capital to manage a global energy portfolio with a strong emphasis on the emerging markets.
He joined Capital Elements in 2008 to lead the listed investment strategy and develop a fund focused on alternative energy.
He joined Tiburon in June 2009.
Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Virginia in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Psychology.
He obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1994 and is a CFA charterholder.
