More specifically, in 1983, Mr. Perry joined E.F.
Hutton’s high net worth municipal retail advisory group.
In 1987, this effort was moved within the firm to Hutton Asset Management, which is credited for starting the industry’s first fee-based, discretionary portfolio management business model.
Mr. Perry was with Hutton Asset Management and subsequent firms since 1987, having gone through numerous acquisitions (Shearson Lehman Hutton, Greenwich Street Advisors, Smith Barney Asset Management, Citi Asset Management and ultimately Legg Mason).
Mr. Perry earned a B.A.
in sociology and anthropology from Dowling College.
