Prior to joining Byron in 2009, Mr. Orviss had over 16 years of capital markets experience with such firms as BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., TD Securities Inc., and most recently Rob was the head of corporate finance for Becher McMahon Capital Markets Inc., a Toronto-based limited market dealer.
While at Becher McMahon from 2007 to 2009, Mr. Orviss developed a specialization in the structuring and financing of energy and mining related issuers.
From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Orviss was a registered trader and associate portfolio manager with Research Capital Corporation in both Toronto and Vancouver, Canada, where his responsibilities included institutional agency and liability trading.
