Dr. Raj Thamotheram is Senior Adviser at AXA Investment Managers UK Ltd.
He joined AXA on 1 June 2006 and is in charge of AXA IM's responsible investment team, oversee policy issues relating to corporate governance and sustainable development, and broaden AXA IM's thought leadership in this important area.
He joined AXA IM from Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) where he has been Senior Adviser for Responsible Investment for over five years.
In this capacity he was instrumental in developing the Marathon Club and the Enhanced Analytics initiatives.
He also previously worked as a corporate social responsibility consultant - and his clients included telecom and mining multinationals, the UK Cabinet Office, and the Office of the Secretary General of the United Nations.
He has a BSc in Pharmacology and MBCHB from Bristol University.
