Mr. Doherty is a graduate of Carleton University and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Prior to founding P.J.
Doherty & Associates, Mr. Doherty spent five years as chief financial analyst and investment advisor with an investment counsel firm where he provided investment advice to clients regarding mortgages, bonds, common stocks, real estate, money market and private investment opportunities.
He is a past-president of the Ottawa Chapter of Financial Analysts and of the Estate Planning Council of Ottawa.
Mr. Doherty has written articles for the Financial Post, the Ottawa Citizen and a number of other financial publications.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors of a variety of companies and foundations.
