Prior to joining CalPERS in 1996, Mr. Mixon was in private practice for approximately 10 years, where he represented a wide variety of public and private sector clients in predominately business litigation matters.
Mr. Mixon received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his law degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of Pacific.
He is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
