Mr. van de Geijn is a Member of the Group Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer of Global Life Insurance of Zurich Financial Services (Zurich).
He joined Zurich in November 2003.
He joined one of the predecessors of Aegon in 1971 as legal counsel and then worked in the non-life sector before moving to a senior management position in 1978.
After the merger which created Aegon in 1983, he was appointed a member of the Management Board of Aegon the Netherlands, becoming its chairman in 1991.
From 2000 to 2002, he was chairman of the Dutch Association of Insurers.
He earned a degree in business law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 1971.
