Mr. Paul Elmes, Sr., is a Principal at GCH Partners.
He is a lifelong entrepreneur, having founded, co-founded, and grown several businesses.
Mr. Elmes has worked as a clinician and non-clinician in both the private and public sectors.
After becoming CEO of Medastat, in the late 1990s he grew Medastat into a nationwide supplier of specialty beds to Long Term and Acute Care facilities.
For many years Mr. Elmes also guided Pharmastat, that was sold to Kindred Pharmacy Services in 2008.
Prior to that, Mr. Elmes worked with a group of investors to form an operations and real estate company to purchase a charter facility which had ceased operations and was in bankruptcy.
The group was successful in the establishment of Wellstone Regional Hospital.
In 2006 it was sold to Psychiatric Solutions.
Mr. Elmes consolidated multiple retail pharmacies into a high volume mail delivery pharmacy successfully sold to Cox Drugs, which was rolled up into the national Rite Aid chain.
In the mid-1990s Mr. Elmes was a minority owner of Holdaway Medical Services in which he had a dual role as Chief of Pharmacy and Director of Home Care Sales.
Previously to that, Mr. Elmes was CEO of MTC.
Prior to that, Mr. Elmes was Director of Sales and Marketing for Duramed Pharmaceuticals where he participated in an Initial Public Offering with Drexel Burnham Lambert and a secondary offering with J.C.
Bradford.
Mr. Elmes attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a BS in Pharmacy in 1980.
