Mr. Edward M.
Wheeler is President & Chief Operating Officer at FBR Investment Management, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer at FBR Fund Advisers, Inc. He was previously the Managing Director of FBR Merchant Banking where he successfully managed FBR Group's own portfolio of equity and fund investments.
Before managing these funds, Mr. Wheeler held dual roles as a Managing Director for Investment Banking and Private Equity.

Prior to this position, he was a Senior Analyst for special situations.
He was a shareholder of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co, Inc. prior to its December 1997 initial public offering, and remains a current shareholder of the Firm.
Mr. Wheeler received a BA degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.
