Prior to Raine, Naveen worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in India for over a decade.
At Morgan Stanley, Naveen worked on various M&A and capital raising transactions for clients across the telecom, media, consumer internet and healthcare sectors, including Vodafone’s combination of its India telecom business with Idea Cellular, MakeMyTrip’s acquisition of ibibo, Dish TV’s acquisition of Videocon d2h, Providence Equity’s investment into Indus Towers, Mylan’s acquisition of Agila Specialties, Cipla’s acquisition of Medpro South Africa, sale of Paras Personal Care, an equity capital raise for Idea Cellular and the IPO of Hathway Cable and Datacom.
While at Raine, Naveen advised on the merger of DishTV and Videocon d2h, a capital raise for Grofers, Providence Equity’s stake sale in Bharti Infratel as well as Raine’s first venture investment in India into Chalo.
Before joining Morgan Stanley, Naveen was at PwC in India, working within its audit and assurance division.
Naveen is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and has a B.Com (Hons.) from Calcutta University.
