Mr. Quevedo is a business manager for the Southern California District Council of Laborers, a position he has held since 1994, and Vice President of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.
He has also served as Vice President and President of the Southern California District Council of Laborers.
He began his career in labor administration in 1969, when he was elected to the executive board of Laborers, Local 300, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Quevedo is the co-chairman of the Laborers’ Pension Trust, the Laborers’ Health and Welfare Trust, the Laborers’ Vacation Trust, and the Laborers’ Training and Retraining Trust.
The trust funds serve laborers in 11 Southern California counties.
He is also a national executive board member of the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement.
