Levy is Chief Economist of US, Americas & Asia at Berenberg Capital Markets LLC.
He has over 30 years experience conducting economic and public policy research and advising major financial and government organizations in the US and globally.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York and the Center for Strategic Tax Reform.
He is also on the Board of Governors of the Research Alliance for New York City Schools.
In addition to various corporate roles, Dr Levy advises several US Federal Reserve Banks.
Since 1983, he has been a member of the Shadow Open Market Committee.
Prior to joining Berenberg, Dr. Levy was Chief Economist at Blenheim Capital Management from 2013 to 2015, Chief Economist at Bank of America from 1998 to 2013 and before then at its predecessor companies CRT Government Securities from 1989 to 1994 and NationsBank from 1994 to 1998.
Prior to his career in finance, he conducted research on monetary and fiscal policies at the US Congressional Budget Office and the American Enterprise Institute.
Dr Levy received his PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, a masters from the University of California Berkeley Graduate School of Public Policy and a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
