Masa started his career at SBI Holdings, Inc., a Japanese financial conglomerate that operates a wide range of financial services such as securities brokerage, online banking, insurance, etc.
He was involved in the business planning process and strategy setting of SBI Group.
He also has two years of equity research experience.
After joining SBI Ven Capital Pte.
Ltd.
in June 2009, he was engaged in the operation of a private equity fund in Southeast Asia.
In June 2011, he returned to SBI Holdings, Inc and joined the Overseas Business Development Division.
From October 2011 to July 2013, he was the Manager of CEO’s Office of SBI Holdings, Inc, mainly to promote the launch of new overseas business activities.
He joined SBI Biotech Co., Ltd.
in July 2013, and was appointed as the Director of Quark Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biotechnology company with its management and R&D based at Weizmann Science Park in Israel, which was wholly acquired by SBI Group.
After obtaining his Israeli work visa at the end of 2013, he relocated to Israel and started his operations as an expat in January 2014.
So far he also has played a key role in closing a strategic partnership with Vertex Venture Capital Israel, which was announced in September 2014, and executing two new investments in Israeli cyber security startups by SBI Group.
In October 2016, he successfully established a new infrastructure to lay more exposure in the Israeli markets by launching a local advisory company called SBI JI Innovation Advisory Ltd.
in Israel, as well as the fund called SBI JI Innovation Fund L.P.
in Cayman Islands, which primarily focuses on investments in the fields of life science and ICT in Israel.
