Mr. McNamara has nearly 15 years experience in the investment community, with the majority of that time spent as an equity research analyst covering the healthcare sector.
After attending the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, Mr. McNamara joined Goldman Sachs & Co's.
equity research department and participated in a two-year equity analyst program.
He then joined a newly formed and privately held investment banking firm in Westport, CT where he was responsible for assisting in the establishment of, and was a principal in, that firm's broker-dealer subsidiary.
Mr. McNamara spent five years helping build that business and subsequently joined Price Waterhouse, where he provided management consulting and strategic advisory services to that firm's domestic and international pharmaceutical and medical device clients.
Bear Stearns & Co. recruited Mr. McNamara in 1999, where he became an associate analyst in the firm's global healthcare equity research team, focusing on both large cap and specialty pharmaceutical companies.
He subsequently joined Credit Suisse First Boston, where he became the senior analyst responsible for coverage of select companies within the mid-cap medical device and technology sectors.
Following CSFB's acquisition of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, he was assigned to the firm's #1 ranked Specialty Pharmaceuticals equity research team and shortly thereafter joined UBS Warburg's global healthcare team.
Most recently, Mr. McNamara was Director of Research at Sterling Financial Investment Group in Boca Raton, FL, where he was instrumental in the reorganization and restructuring of that firm's equity research department and building out its healthcare and technology sector teams.
Mr. McNamara relies upon expertise he has acquired in research and managerial positions to provide clients with an understanding of stock specific and industry trends and actionable calls within the biotechnology and specialty pharmaceutical sectors.
