Mr. Slitz has recently been the president and CEO of SRD Net, a specialized Entity Analytics software technology company located in Las Vegas, NV.
SRD Net was aquired by IBM Corp.
on January 7th, 2005.
He was formally the Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Novell, Inc. He joined Novell in August 1997 and was responsible for all of Novell's corporate marketing and corporate communications initiatives.
He reported directly to Chairman and CEO, Eric Schmidt.
Marketing Computing Magazine elected Mr. Slitz Marketeer of the Year for 1998.
Prior to joining Novell, Mr. Slitz rejoined IBM in March 1995 as Vice President, Object Technology/Application Development Marketing, where he led the company's marketing efforts and strategy for object technology.
He also spent the first twelve years of his career with IBM in positions of increasing responsibility in sales and product development.
From 1990 until his return to IBM in 1995, Mr. Slitz was Co-founder and Vice President of Marketing for the Object Management Group , the non profit international corporation dedicated to establishing industry guidelines and object management specifications.
Mr. Slitz then became Vice President of Marketing for Precision Visuals, Inc.; established and operated his own consulting company; and was Co-founder and Vice President of Business Development for Netwise, Inc. (acquired by Microsoft).
Mr. Slitz holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the State University of New York, a Master's degree from the Graduate Faculty for the New School of Social Research, and an MBA from the Fairleigh Dickenson University Executive Program.
