Mr. Jim Beck is a Managing Director-Municipal Finance at Melvin Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Melvin Securities, he was a partner in two asset management firms located in Chicago and Milwaukee.
Prior to that, he spent a large portion of his career as a Managing Director and Vice President at JP Morgan and Kemper Securities focusing on Municipal Finance and Asset Management activities.
Throughout his career, he has worked with clients to solve their investment/financing needs and has originated or structured many innovative financing for tax exempt issuers including: airports, water or sewer systems, convention centers, 501(c)3 organizations and municipalities utilizing traditional tax exempt debt structures as well as financial derivatives/hedging techniques.
Mr. Beck is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a B.S.
in Finance and holds a Series 7 and 63 licenses.
He has also been active in various non-profit organizations and has served as a board member on two charitable boards in the Chicagoland area.
