Mr. Javier Montoya, CFA, is Senior Portfolio Manager at Alpha Plus Gestora SGIIC SA.
His professional career began with Barclays Asset Management as an Analyst in 1997, eventually he became the Head of Asset Management for Investment Funds, SICAVs, Pension Plans and Separate Accounts as well as a Member of the Asset Allocation Committee.
He was also named Director of Asset Management for Barclays Gestion Privada and was responsible for the integration of the Barclays and Banco Zaragozano teams in 2004, then as Portfolio Manager and Head of Investments at the Lafita family office n 2006.
Mr. Montoya joined Alpha Plus in 2008 as a founding partner following an 11 year career in the asset management business.
Mr. Montoya holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Europea CEES and a Bachelor’s Degree in European Business Administration from Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge.
