Prior to joining GCP in April 2011, she was a Co-Founder, Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Silverstone Capital Group, LLC, a private equity real estate investment company focused on single-tenant retail net-lease properties.
Previously, Ms. Mody was a Managing Director of Crescent Real Estate Equities where she headed the firm's capital markets efforts from February 2001 until January 2007 when she also assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer until the company's sale in August 2007.
At Crescent, she was responsible for all public and private debt and equity placements for the $6.5 billion REIT.
In addition, she managed Crescent's Strategic Planning, Treasury and Cash Management, Investor and Public Relations as well as the firm's accounting, risk management and IT functions.
CEI was sold to Morgan Stanley in August 2007.
From 2000 to 2001, She was Vice President of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where she managed reporting for the Whitehall Real Estate Opportunity Funds and oversaw the asset management of the funds' South American investments.
Ms. Mody co-founded and served as Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Retail Trust, a $1.5 billion private grocery anchored shopping center company, from 1993 to 1999.
Earlier in her career, She served as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets for Rosewood Property Company.
She began her career in banking at Interfirst Bank Dallas.
Ms. Mody holds a BA from Austin College and an MBA in International Business from the University of Dallas.
