He is a past Chairman of both the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) and the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII).
In addition, he has previously served on the NAMIC Board of Directors, the Business School Advisory Committee for Tiffin University, as a Member of the CSC Mid-Range Advisory Board, on the Board of Directors for the Marion Palace Theatre, as a Board Member and Chair of the Bucyrus Salvation Army, a Board Member and Campaign Leader for the United Way of Bucyrus, and as a Director of United Bank, NA.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University.
He also holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Life Underwriters Training Council - Financial (LUTCF) professional designations.
