He was Chairman of Stuart Energy from September 2003 to January 2005 and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vandenborre Technologies NV, which he founded in 1991.
Dr. Vandenborre was President of the European Electrochemical Engineering Society and the International Hydrogen Energy Committee.
He is a Founding Member of HYNET and the European Hydrogen Energy Thematic Network.
Dr. Vandenborre has served on various advisory committees of the Commission of the European Union and was appointed a Member of the "High Level Group" to advise the
European Commission President and the European Commission Vice President in 2002.
He is a Member of the Advisory Council of the European Commission, the Advisory Panel of Conduit Ventures Limited and the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee of Hydrogenics.
