Fasli Jalal is currently the Chairman of the International Council On Management of Population and also serves as the Director of the World Association For Cooperative Education.
Previously, he served as the Director General of the National Development Planning Agency from 2001 to 2011.

Dr. Jalal holds a doctorate degree from Cornell University, which he received in 1991, and another doctorate degree from Universitas Andalas, which he received in 1981.
