Mr. George "Gus" U.
Sauter is Chief Investment Officer at The Vanguard Group, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing funds managed by Vanguard Fixed Income and Vanguard Quantitative Equity Groups.

Mr. Sauter earned an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
He is a member of the advisory board of the Journal of Investment Management Conference Series, the Journal of Indexes editorial board, the Investor Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and the Council on the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago.
