Mr. Ed J.
Mello is Co-Founder & Managing Director at Cypress Growth Capital LLC.
He has nearly 30 years of leadership and executive experience in successful start-ups, major corporations and venture investing.
He is an active member of the Irish Angels, Notre Dames entrepreneur mentoring program.
Prior to co-founding Cypress in December 2009, Mr. Mello for seven years, has served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of Computer Sciences Corporations CSC Consulting Group where he led sales, marketing and operations for this $700M, 3000-employee division.
He has also succeeded as an entrepreneur and venture investor.
He was an early employee and senior executive of Viant, a pioneering Internet services company that had a successful IPO.
Together with Barton Goodwin, he co-founded Cypress Point Partners, an advisory firm focused on providing funding and driving revenue growth for emerging technology companies.
He was President of Global Sales and Operations for nGenera, a venture-backed, Austin-based company focused on the business application of social media and collaboration.
He began his business career at EDS after serving as an officer in the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Mello received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1979.
