David Ackerman is Manager of Safety and Health of Indiana Michigan Power Co. He is responsible for managing and coordinating the safety functions and programs of Indiana Michigan Power.

In 1996, he was named Safety Coordinator-Senior for Fort Wayne Transmission Services.
He received his BS degree with distinction in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University in 1992.
He received AAS degree with distinction from Purdue in 1987 in the same program.
