Mr. Burk co-founded the firm in 2008.
He began his investment career with Marleau Lemire Securities in Toronto in 1993 as a salesman on the firm's Institutional Equities Desk.
In 1995, he was appointed the Head of Institutional Equity Sales for Marleau Lemire.In 1996, Mr. Burk joined Griffiths McBurney and Partners (now GMP Securities L.P.) as a senior partner on GMPs Institutional Sales Desk in Toronto.
Between 2001 and 2003 he was the President of Alternum Capital.
In the fall of 2007, he joined the Board and Finance Committee of The Centre for International Governance Innovation.In February 2008, Mr. Burk was appointed a Board Member, an Audit Committee Member and the Treasurer of the newly formed Canadian International Council.
Mr. Burk received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto.
He holds Charted Financial Analyst designation.
