He joined Battery Global Advisors in March 2012.
Mr. Goudie began his investment career in Edinburgh in 1985.
In 1990, he moved to London and joined Baring Asset Management, where he managed the US equity portfolios for all UK-based clients.
At this time He also joined Baring’s Strategic Policy Group, a twelve-person team that established asset allocation for all Baring’s clients worldwide.
In 1993, He moved with Baring to Boston, from where he continued his asset allocation work, while working with US-based clients investing across asset classes.
In 1997 he left Baring with other senior staff and established Santander Global Advisors, a boutique global money management company which grew to have assets in excess of $1.8bn under management.
He was responsible for asset allocation and all trading activities.
He also served as a member of the four-person Executive Management Committee.
In 2000 he joined Wellington Management Company, where he built out the company’s Global Consultant Relations Team.
He spent four years with Fidelity where he helped separate the institutional business, now known as Pyramis Global Advisors, from the retail business.
At Pyramis, he was responsible for managing a 16-person investment team with $45bn in client assets.
During that period, he also co-managed the NorthStar fund, at the time one of the largest mutual funds in Canada.
Most recently, he was Head of Global Business Development for Hermes Fund Managers, a London based multi-boutique manager with $30bn in assets under management.
He served as CEO of the North American operation, and was a member of the 4-person Executive Committee, also sitting on the Board of the parent company.
Mr. Goudie has an undergraduate degree from Aberdeen University and an MBA from OU Business School in England.
