Prior to joining EnCap in 2000, Mr. Bechtol, spent two years in the Producer Finance group at Enron Capital & Trade Resources.
Previously, he was an associate in the Energy Corporate Finance group at Jefferies & Company from 1997 to 1998.
He received a Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Bechtol serves on the board of directors of three portfolio companies: Copano Energy Holdings, L.L.C., NCX Company, L.L.C.
and Nautilus Resources L.L.C.
He is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, Texas Independent Producer's & Royalty Owners Association and the Houston Producers' Forum.
