Mr. Andrew James, CFA MBA, is a Senior Portfolio Manager at The University of Chicago Endowment.
He is responsible for the University’s equity-oriented and multi-strategy absolute return funds, and global public equities.
Previous to this appointment, he served as the senior portfolio manager for the real assets team.
He joined the Investment Office in 2009.
Previously, he was responsible for private equity real estate investments for two years at HRJ Capital.
Prior to joining HRJ, he worked for Allstate Insurance Company for five years.
He held several positions while at Allstate, with his last being an analyst on the Private Equity Real Estate team for Allstate Investments.
He holds an MBA and honors BA in history from Marquette University.
He is a CFA Charterholder and was awarded the Chartered Financial Consultant designation.
