Piccola is senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the firm's Private Equity & Venture Capital and Transactional & Securities Practices and the Emerging Technologies and Life Sciences Industry Teams.
Ms. Piccola focuses on corporate and securities matters, including private equity and venture capital financings, equity and debt securities offerings, business formation, corporate governance and compliance, general business counseling and strategic planning and raising capital for emerging growth companies.
She specializes in identifying alternative and creative financing options for emerging growth companies and start-ups, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures and project based finance.
Ms. Piccola manages a broad range of business transactions, including private placements; mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs; joint ventures and other strategic collaborations; and commercial transactions, such as bank credit lines, lease lines and off-balance sheet financings.
She is counsel to companies in the biotechnology, media, communications, hardware, healthcare, medical devices, and software and telecommunications industries.
Ms. Piccola also has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating consulting, non-disclosure, software licensing, product development, construction, outsourcing, distribution and collaboration agreements.
Ms. Piccola graduated in 2000 from Emory University School of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science from the University of Florida in 1996.
She was admitted to the California Bar in 2000.
