Prior to joining Harvard's Office of Technology Development in 2008, Dr. Szidon worked in the Strategic Alliances group at the Novartis Institutes of BioMedical Research.
At Novartis, he directed business development activities in the musculoskeletal disease area and led the evaluation, diligence and negotiation of early clinical assets and research technologies.
Prior to employment with Novartis, he directed strategic planning and preclinical program management at DARA BioSciences, provided management consultant services in the life sciences practice at L.E.K Business Consulting and worked with GreatPoint Ventures to found Zafgen.
Dr. Szidon received his PhD in biochemistry and cell biology from UC San Francisco.
