He has over 30 years of investment experience.
He used to manage European equity portfolios until 1994, initially as senior portfolio manager in the Core European investment team, and since March 2000 as member of the European Growth team.
He joined AMRO Bank in 1978 as a securities analyst, where he concentrated on the analysis of the retail and banking/insurance sectors until 1984.
He also headed the Equity Research Department from 1984 to 1988.
Then he joined the Private Banking Unit in Germany.
In 1991 he was appointed head of the Investment Research Department in Amsterdam.
As head of the department, they developed a quantitative Dutch equity model in co-operation with BARRA.
He holds a Master's degree in Economics (1978).
