With over 20 years of investment and management experience with >15 years Capital Markets, Eugene currently serves Partner and Director of Hlayisani Capital and Hlayisani Fund Managers.
Eugene has a successful track record as an entrepreneur in both the small, medium enterprise and large institutional sectors for the past two decades.
Previously Eugene held senior leadership positions at IRESS Ltd, Nedbank Capital, Sanlam Capital Markets and ICAP South Africa and the Phoenix Capital group of companies.
Eugene is a PhD (Finance), Executive MBA (Cum Laude), and BCom graduate.
He holds the following qualifications: Professional Accountant (SA), Fellow of the institute of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (FIFM), Practicing Stockbroking member of the South African Institute of Stockbrokers (CSb(SA)), South African Financial Services Conduct and Authority qualified Key Individual for advice, discretionary and hedge fund licenses.
Eugene serves as a member of the board of governors for the South African Institute of Financial markets and serves as a board member of the South African Institute of Stockbrokers.
