The firm was founded in 1970 as Deutsche Gesellschaft für Investment-Fonds GmbH and was rebranded as Union Investment Institutional GmbH in 2002. Founded in 1956, the firm was formerly known as Union-Investment-Gesellschaft mbH and changed their name to Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH in 2002. Headquartered in Frankfurt, Union Investment is a socially responsible investor which offers a product range that covers all asset classes worldwide including equity, fixed-income, balanced, index and real estate funds.
