Mr. Needham was on the faculty of the College of Business at San Francisco State University until December 2002 and has taught at the Arnhem Business School in the Netherlands.
Mr. Needham graduated with a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.

The firm was founded in April 1993 by William Mack and Apollo Global Management LLC as Apollo Real Estate Advisors.
