Mr. Graves founded Caelum Capital Advisors in October 2007.
He also started Farmscape, whose goal is to help people become more self-sufficient and eat fresh, homegrown vegetables year-round.
He has always been entrepreneurial.
In the fourth grade, he baked cookies and sold them in the teacher's lounge.
Later he ran a lawn service and snow-shoveling business.
While in the eighth grade, he was inspired by watching CNBC to begin investing his savings in the stock market.
In addition to his passion for investing, Mr. Graves is also a singer/song writer and is in the process of recording a studio album.
Mr. Merritt Graves is currently working towards a degree in environmental analysis from Pomona College.
He began his education at University of Iowa and spent a year abroad at Australian National University.
