Schaper, CFA MBA, is Founder & Chairman at Schaper, Benz & Wise Investment Counsel, Inc. Prior to founding Schaper, Benz & Wise Investment Counsel in 1992, Mr. Schaper, spent 23 years at Associated Bank, where he created and built a nationally recognized trust investment operation.
During his tenure he was also a Director, an Executive Vice-President, and a member of the Management Executive Committee of Associated Bancorp, a publicly held regional bank holding company in Wisconsin.
His investment career began at Central Trust Company in Cincinnati, OH, where he was employed in the trust investment department from 1961 to 1968.
Mr. Shaper is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee, the CFA Institute, and the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP).
After serving in the U.S.
Navy from 1954 to 1957, receiving an honorable discharge, he earned a BA degree from Denison University in 1960, and an MBA degree from Indiana University in 1961
