Prior to joining OpCap in 2005, Mr. Bogavelli was a managing director and head of the US large-cap value team at Citigroup Asset Management.
He previously was co-Chief Investment Officer at Smith Barney Capital Management, as well as partner, portfolio manager and Director of Research at institutional investment manager Spare Kaplan Bischel & Associates.
He began his investment career as an equity research analyst at Bodri Capital Management.
Mr. Bogavelli holds a BA from the University of Delhi's St. Stephen's College in Delhi, India, and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
He is a CFA charterholder.
