Prior to joining Charles Investment Management in 2006, Dr. Tikofsky was with the Ellington Management Group where he managed a portfolio specializing in relative value trading among corporate credit derivatives, bonds, and equities.
His experience in the asset management industry also includes experience managing and developing derivative trading strategies at Paloma Partners, JMG Capital, and Deephaven Capital.
Prior to his career in finance, Dr. Tikofsky did research in theoretical physics.
Dr. Tikofsky received his Ph.D.
in Theoretical Physics from Stanford University in 1994, his M.S.
in Theoretical Physics from U.C.
Berkeley in 1990 and his B.S.
in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Caltech in 1987 where he graduated second in his class.
